A new balance

Every day we bring people and organisations together. In different ways, but always with a view to progress. We aim to be the Pride of the Region: the region can count on us and we count on the region. We want to balance the benefits and burdens of our airport. Working efficiently is important to us. As is tackling this goal in a no-nonsense way.

As an airport, we want to establish ourselves in the region in a sustainable manner. We cannot and do not want to do without our environment. We therefore look for answers to dilemmas based on support.

As a collective, Rotterdam The Hague Airport ensures a balance between public interests such as economy, welfare, health, and climate. Various surveys show that a large majority of the population in the region supports the airport. At the same time, there is also an active group critical of us. We are all aware of the fact that an airport has an impact on our environment. Not only in terms of employment, connectivity, and incoming passenger flows, but also because of the effects on noise pollution and air quality. The most important thing is that we want to connect people, companies, and innovations in the interest of the region.

A significant airport
We are a regional airport of national significance and want to keep pace with the development of our region. Together, we can further strengthen the connection between the airport and regional government, residents, and the business community. We will continue to steer these connections by having good conversations with each other. We will also keep each other regularly informed.

Ensuring support
Support in the region is a priority for us. This is precisely because our region is where the benefits and burdens of the airport lie. We are committed to transparent decision-making and therefore involve all stakeholders. We believe that information about the airport should always be accessible to everyone, everywhere. We are thus working every day to achieve a little more mutual understanding and a sustainable anchoring of the airport, now and in the future.
