Timișoara
Timișoara is a lively city in the west of Romania, close to the borders with Hungary and Serbia. The city is known for its elegant architecture, with beautiful squares such as Piața Victoriei. Timișoara is often called “Little Vienna” because of the influence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city also played an important role in the Romanian Revolution of 1989.
